The potassium and organic matter is good I think. They are also good for peonies and other floriferous flowers. I think the tip about learning when to plant in the spring is priceless. Haven’t heard that one before.

When dad retired, he cared for the many rose bush plants around his parish church, which were just gorgeous. His secret was banana peels. Ever since he shared this with me, I have been using them around the rose bushes in my yard and they seem to be forever in bloom. My miniature yellow rose bush had blooms in December.
