I thought I’d share an announcement for the local folks – there are some wonderful free lectures and programs coming up to help you get your garden off to a great start this year. If you live in Prince Edward County (or within driving distance!), Virginia, do plan to attend!
Gardening Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series
Join the Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners for a Brown Bag Lunch program on Thursday, February 7, and Thursday, March 7, from noon until 1:00 PM at the Prince Edward County Extension Office. Bring your lunch and join the Master Gardeners for a garden video and discussion. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions. There is no registration required for this event, and it is free and open to the public.
The Extension office is across the street from Lowe’s, by the water tower.
Jeanne Grunert is a certified Virginia Master Gardener and the author of several gardening books. Her garden articles, photographs, and interviews have been featured in The Herb Companion, Virginia Gardener, and Cultivate, the magazine of the National Farm Bureau. She is the founder of The Christian Herbalists group and a popular local lecturer on culinary herbs and herbs for health, raised bed gardening, and horticulture therapy.
