Vanilla Fudge or Vanilla Peppermint Fudge Recipe
I found the original 5-ingredient fudge recipe a winner with my family. To make this vanilla peppermint fudge recipe, you need the similar basic ingredients. It’s just as easy to make. But fair warning – once you make it, your family will clamor for it year after year!
Vanilla Peppermint Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
- Large bag Nestle white chocolate chips. (48 ounce)
- One can of sweetened condensed milk. (14 ounces)
- One teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
- Two candy canes, crushed.
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8 x 8 inch baking dish or Pyrex dish with waxed paper or aluminum foil.
- Unwrap the candy canes or peppermints. Place them in a plastic bag. Using a spoon or hammer, tap on them to crush them. You may want to place the candy inside the bag, seal it, then place the bag on a concrete floor. (Avoid hammering the bag on your countertops as you may damage counters).
- In a heavy-bottom sauce pan over low heat, heat the chips, condensed milk, and vanilla. Stir constantly to avoid sticking. When it is completely melted, add salt (optional).
- Pour the mixture into the pan.
- Sprinkle crushed candy on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
To serve, remove from the fridge, peel off the paper or foil, and cut into squares. Refrigerate leftovers and enjoy.
This candy recipe ships easily. To ship peppermint vanilla fudge, cut the squares. Place waxed paper inside a tin. Then, layer the fudge, with wax paper separating each layer of fudge. Cover with the lid, add a bow, and deliver to your happy neighbors – or place in a box and ship to a loved one.
