Whole Foods Plant-Based Diet

“Let thy food be thy medicine.” Hippocrates, the ancient Greek father of medicine, said this centuries ago. But how many of us actually follow his advice?

I am transitioning to whole foods, plant-based diet, and invite you to share this journey with me on my new blog, Planet Plant Foods. Rather than clutter up Home Garden Joy with my articles on this transition, I thought I’d keep them separate. Plant foods – fruit, vegetables, grains, herbs, nuts, and seeds – contains thousands of chemical that our bodies evolved to utilize for nutrition and health. When we enjoy a diet rich in these foods, I am convinced from the work of Dr. Weston Price, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, and Dr. Joel Furhman, among others, that our bodies keep themselves healthy and strong and can, in fact, heal themselves.

Planet Plant Foods explores the shift in both food choices and mindset to this new diet, food choices, menu ideas, and motivation, inspiration, and the lifestyle itself.
