This is a product review for the CharGuy long-sleeve gardening gloves, a new type of glove from CharGuy. CharGuy is the brainchild of two fellas, Charlies and Guy, who contacted me and asked if they could send me a pair of their new gloves for a review. I said sure, and I am disclosing to you now that I received the gloves and some seeds as a thank-you for the review. This is my honest review of the gloves and I hope you check them out on Amazon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, on to the review!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CharGuy Long Sleeve Gardening Gloves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They’re a winner in my book!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s the thing: I’ve developed a weird rash every time I pick vegetables. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t tell whether the rash is from the cucumber vines or from the tomatoes. All I know is that over the past several weeks, every time I come in from the vegetable garden, my forearms are COVERED in ugly big welts and blisters that burn and itch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long Sleeve Gardening Gloves to the Rescue!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thankfully, I had these long sleeved gardening gloves to test. So I donned the gloves, headed out to pick tomatoes<\/a> and cucumbers<\/a>, and remained – thankfully – blister free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review of the Charguy Long Sleeve Gardening Gloves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, the bad news<\/strong>. They’re hot. Stupidly hot. Here in Virginia, in 90+ degree weather with 100% humidity, wearing anything heavy on the arms and nitrile palm gloves means you will sweat more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But of all the drawbacks, I can live with that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good news:<\/strong> The gloves are very heavy duty. The nitrile palms mean that you can use them around chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and even though I choose not to use either, that is a good thing to have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fabric is heavy enough to keep my arms safe from thorns and the bits of wire sticking out on the tomato cages. It is also stretchy enough to fit over my arms. I would guess that it would stretch to accommodate a man’s arms or a heavier persons’ arms, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though the hands had nitrile on the palms, the fingers were flexible enough so that I could weed, pick green beans, and tease out tomatoes that had fallen behind the wire of the tomato cages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, best of all…no rash. None. The gloves did not smell like chemicals, which some nitrile gloves do, and they kept my forearms clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
