May Gardening Tip Sheet Is Ready

May is one of the busiest months of all for gardeners throughout most of the United States. Here in zone 7 (or 6B, depending on what map you look at), our frost free date has arrived, which means it’s time to plant tender annuals and vegetables outdoors. It’s also the ‘last call’ to transplant trees and shrubs, because the hot, dry Virginia summer weather is just around the corner, and transplanting now gives plants enough time to set down their roots before being stressed by the summer’s heat.
