Save Water in Your Home

August 13, 2016 by Jeanne

Save water in your home by using these simple tips. A leaking tap can waste hundreds of gallons of water in a week, and it’s so easy to fix. There are many other ways in which homeowners can save water. This infographic from Turf n the world will help you find more and learn more ways to save water.

I never thought about water conservation until I moved to a rural area. Back on Long Island, a seemingly limitless aquifer under the island produced copious amounts of fresh water. We watered lawns with impunity. We had water when the power went out because generators at the water plants kept it pumping.

Here in the countryside of Virginia, my water well is my life. If that well goes dry, we can dig a new one, but it will be costly and inconvenient. Conserving what water we draw from the earth is vital for our entire family’s future!

Here’s the infographic from Turf N the World…enjoy!
