February is, thankfully, a short month. While the skies remain gray and many days are too cold to venture further outside than the porch, a gardener’s thoughts turn to spring. Things to Do in the Garden in February

  • Check for plants flowering in February. In some gardening zones, bulbs, trees, and shrubs begin to bloom.
  • Review our pruning chart and prune plants requiring winter trims.
  • Plan your garden.
  • Order seeds.
